Former Indian umpire Anil Chaudhary is set to make guest appearance in India's most prestigious crime thriller chain, CID. Known for implementing land rules and making decisions on the field, Chaudhary will now be seen in a new and separate role on the screen. A picture that goes viral on social media shows him in a black suit and matching sunglasses, which shares the frame with the mythological character ACP Preduman played by veteran actor Shivaji Satam.
CID, which aired on television for more than two decades, is one of the longest -lasting and most loving detective shows in Indian television history. The latest episode, characterized by the Indian umpire as a special guest, will soon be streamful on OTT platform Netflix. Over the years, CID has welcomed several guest stars, including mythological Kapil Dev, who also made a special appearance in the series. Chaudhary has now joined this list of celebrities who have depicted in the series.
Chaudhary, who recently announced his retirement from umpiring and has taken a commentary stent for Gehotstar, is often seen as a broadcaster for the ongoing Haryanvi feed.
