Two balls. it took so much time Ravindra Jadeja To take a wicket for Rajasthan Royals on his much-awaited return. Talk about a sweet homecoming.
Bowling the eighth over in the third IPL match between Rajasthan Royals and Chennai Super Kings, Jadeja dismissed Sarfaraz Khan in his first over and trapped him in front. Sarfaraz attempted to sweep a length ball, which went wide and beat himself under the bat, causing the ball to hit his back.
The umpire showed no hesitation in raising his finger and the review taken by Sarfaraz showed the ball hitting the middle stump. The veteran all-rounder's first wicket since his return to Royals pink came against his old franchise. At that point, Super Kings found themselves in trouble at 51/5.
And soon one skull became two. In the first over of the game, Jadeja took another wicket, that too of the dangerous Shivam Dubey. Going full out after being hit for a six three balls earlier, Dubey bowled the ball high in the air but only managed to find Ravi Bishnoi, who was positioned at long-off to take the catch. At the end of Jadeja's over, CSK's score was 57/6.
