Mulanpur saw an exciting low scoring affair on Tuesday, April 15, as Punjab Kings (PBK) defended a target of 112 runs against defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). Shreyas Iyer -led side defeated Ajinkya Rahene & Co. by 16 runs.
The KKR was 62/2 in the eighth over. However, Yuzvendra Chahal showed his class, as KKR's run-chase was derailed for his four. The Kolkata -based franchise was excluded for 95 in 15.1 overs. In addition to Chahal, Marco Jansen played a brilliant magic and ended with 3/17 figures in 3.1 overs.
After the defeat of the intestines, Rahane did not blame the surface as he said it was very good. However, he said that some balls were coming for a while.
