In a major development ahead of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 mini-auction, the wicketkeeper-batsman sanju samson Delhi Capitals is reportedly set to make a comeback, with the franchise planning to trade Tristan Stubbs to Rajasthan Royals (RR). Trade discussions have started about a month before the mini-auction.
As per TOI report, with the possibility of Samson parting ways with Rajasthan, both the franchises have been actively involved in talks and are exploring multiple trade options. However, reports indicate that Delhi Capitals are keen to secure the services of Samson, but they are hesitant to release any of their key players.
Meanwhile, during the business talks, the name of Indian Test opener KL Rahul was also mentioned. However, Delhi were unwilling to let him go, given that he was one of their outstanding performers last season and continues to hold significant brand value for the franchise.
