Former India wicketkeeper batsman MS Dhoni One of the largest legends in the game is and played with some of the biggest legends of the game during his decorated career.
The 43-year-old man was recently asked about the reason why he has never chosen the e-time XI and the Stalwart replied with a reply. Dhoni gave an example of one of his press conferences and used the same analogy to explain the reason behind it.
“I have never chosen one. The reason for this is simple. What could not happen, I once said in a press conference, he asked me about a person who was injured, who was not available. So I asked him and he said, 'Brother, tell me one thing, what can a team members do for me?
“Something is such that in India, which is not in the team, he is a better player. Somehow, he is injured or not. But the fact that he is not available for selection. The amount of his effect on the game is zero. I will worry about those who can actually affect the game,” the former India Skipper said.
Talking about MS Dhoni's last match, he was heavily cricaticized as CSK lost his third consecutive game in IPL 2025, Delhi's capitals defeated him by 25 runs in Chepuk. Dhoni scored 30 runs in 26 delivery and remained unbeaten with Vijay Shankar, however, the pair could not take the team beyond the winning line.
