Siddaramaiah said that compensation for the families of the deceased will increase by ₹ 10 lakh. He emphasized that the government is standing with the families affected during this difficult time and assured that no family would tolerate difficulties due to financial obstacles.
“I have ordered that the compensation declared for the families of those who died in the Chinnaswamy Stadium stampede should be increased from ₹ 10 lakh to ₹ 25 lakh. It is our government's hope that families who have lost their loved ones do not face and difficulty due to financial problems,” Siddharamam has written on X.

A day before the internal meeting, the case was handed over to the Criminal Investigation Department (CID). KSCA President Raghuram Bhat said that while the association has not yet been contacted by the investigating officers. He further said that whenever needed, he is ready to cooperate fully.
