Interview
After Qualifier 2, Shreyas Iyer was angry with you. What did he say to you at that time?
See what Shreyas said, I think everyone is lip-reading these days. Therefore, he was angry, there is no question about it. I used to talk to him very well, and he was angry, and why he was angry? Because he is a person who is very emotional about sports. When he goes to the field, his passion is seen. This was my stupidity – the way I was walking and went out, obviously it was a bad situation. That thing was not acceptable, and he scolded me there, 'What are you doing?'.
The way he said, it was right, it was appropriate … [it] For that moment, we came to the dressing room and it was cold – we were eating together, having fun. Shreyas is a person that when he says something in anger – I was entitled, I was wrong, I was entitled to the misconduct – (it lives in the moment). But when you do well, he also appreciates it, which is his good quality. If he appreciates me very much in his best time, then when I do foolish, he can abuse me too, it is acceptable. Therefore, I felt that he did nothing wrong, and whatever he said, I cannot say what the words were, but whatever he said, I deserved it.
