“Accumulated for every 4 demerit points, the match referee can impose a fine, either 100 percent fine or additional demeriting points. These demerit points can potentially lead to future match restrictions, but it will not be a match restriction (immediately) for a slow overret,” said a source of the address.
Speaking of Hardik Pandya, a slow over-rate crime, it took place in a match between Mumbai Indians (MI) and Lucknow Super Junts (LSG) in the 2024 season.
