Shreyas Iyer Recently expressed gratitude to Abhishek Nair and some other coaching personnel, which to stick to him at the time of difficulty. The Indian batsman urged him to be associated with those who stood by him during his climb.
In a discussion recently, he mentioned the names of Nair and Praveen Amre as a pillar of his pillars.
“See, when I am going through climb in my life, only some people convey me a message. He is named Praveen Amre Sir and Abhishek Nair. As I said, the ocean. Sagar, with whom I trained. There are some other people who supported me very well at that time. I will always keep such people with me because these people have always seen me from their young days. When something is going well, they remain normal. However, when something goes bad, they are very good with me. Therefore, I appreciate such a mindset. And if such people are around you, you will definitely grow, “Iyer said in a conversation with Journalist, Vimal Kumar, as is quoted by News18.
In particular, Iyer worked with Emere when he played for Delhi Capital. He collaborated with Nair during his tenure with Kolkata Knight Riders in 2022 and 2024 respectively. Former Mumbai cricketer Nair has also worked with Iyer in the Indian setup. This is after Gautam Gambhir joined the coaching staff in the capacity of an assistant coach in July 2024.

Iyer recently portrayed men in Blue in the recently handled edition of The Champions Trophy. The middle-order batsman recorded 243 runs in five innings. He emerged as the second major run-gate in the 50-over tournament. The 30 -year -old was snatched by Punjab Kings during the mega auction for IPL 2025 INR in Jeddah for 26.75 crores. The purpose of the freshly-appointed skipper of the franchise is to reverse the fate of the side.
