defending champion Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) are set to defend their title in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 final at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Sunday, May 31. They defeated Gujarat Titans (GT) comprehensively in Qualifier 1 in Dharamshala to book their place in the finals.
IPL's biggest run scorer Virat Kohli will enter the fifth IPL final of his career with this historic match. The legendary Indian batsman has been an integral part of the league since the beginning and ended his trophy drought with a stunning win over Punjab Kings (PBKS) in the IPL 2025 final.
Kohli has appeared in four IPL finals in total and has performed well with the bat in them. Let's take a look at their overall record in league finals over the years.
2009: 7 runs off eight balls (vs Deccan Chargers)

20-year-old Virat Kohli played his first IPL final against DC, which resulted in a disappointment for RCB. They failed to chase the target of 144 runs at The Wanderers Stadium, Johannesburg.
