Delhi Capitals assistant coach Ian Bell has made his words clear on plans to get rid of the young batting sensation Vaibhav Suryavanshi At the start of their upcoming match against Rajasthan Royals at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Match 62 of IPL 2026 on Sunday, May 17. Bell said that he and bowling coach Munaf Patel have already discussed in detail how Suryavanshi can improve.
Bell praised the opposition opener's batting talent at just fifteen years of age. He further added that Suryavanshi is ultimately the biggest fish in the water whenever a team takes on the Rajasthan-based franchise, especially with his impeccable stroke-making and exceptional ability to hit boundaries on every second ball.

But Bell also said that many cricketers and teams have now started making different plans against the powerful challenge that Suryavanshi faces.
Bell said, “People will have put in a lot of work. I'm sure he will be a little bit excited because we got him out early last time, so he will be desperate to get it right, as all the top players want to do. The challenge for any young player or any player in general is that you have to keep developing. This is international cricket and IPL cricket. People will come with plans, more knowledge and more videos.”
