Wankhede Stadium has a special place in my heart: MS Dhoni


In a recent discussion, MS Dhoni In detail on his experience of playing cricket in India and, in particular, the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. He also thanked supporters for his incredible support over the years.

In the same conversation, when asked about his “second favorite site” Chennai Super KingsMa Chidambaram Stadium, Dhoni expressed that he had nothing of that nature. However, he shared that he had a “soft corner” for the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai and the city in general.

“Mumbai, I have a soft corner because in 2007 when we won the T20 World Cup, when we came back, we were welcomed with a warm. (The) 2011 (Cricket World Cup) final was over here, and there are memories. So, it's a special place in my heart, shared in a conversation with Gehotstar.

Dhoni has been a men's lynchpin in yellow since the establishment of the IPL. He has won five titles with a franchise as his captain. As far as IPL 2025 Concerned, Dhoni is playing as a “uncapared player”, after being one of the five players to maintain by CSK before the mega auction in November 2024.
