Recently, a video from the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) team hotel went viral in which a young boy tries to get an autograph on his bat from the legendary cricketer. With so much security around him, Kohli did not pay attention to the little child. He also had his earphones on and perhaps failed to hear the young fan's desperate appeal. Security refused to give the boy a fan moment, and he was later seen throwing his bat on the floor and crying.

Virat Kohli has had another exemplary season with the bat in IPL 2026. In eight innings, Kohli has scored 351 runs at an average of 58.50 and a strike rate of 162.50. He won the Orange Cap for the first time in IPL 2016. This year, if he scores more runs than any other batsman in IPL 2026, he will become the first Indian player and second overall to win the Orange Cap three times.
Royal Challengers are also justifying the tag of defending champions in IPL 2026. From eight matches, they have won six and find themselves at No. 2 on the points table.
