The innings was propelled by a sensational unbeaten innings from Venkatesh Iyer, who scored 73 runs in just 40 balls. The left-handed batsman hit eight fours and four sixes at an impressive strike rate of 182.50, helping Bengaluru post a mammoth score of 222 for 4 in 20 overs. For Punjab Kings, Harpreet Brar emerged as the most effective bowler with 2 wickets for 35 runs.

In reply, PBKS struggled initially as RCB bowlers struck regularly during the powerplay. Despite a fighting half-century from Shashank Singh, who scored 56 runs in 27 balls with the help of four fours and four sixes, Punjab failed to maintain the required run rate.

Rasikh Salam Dar played a key role with the ball and took three wickets for 36 runs, while Bhuvneshwar Kumar took two important wickets. RCB eventually restricted Punjab Kings to 199 for 8 and secured a crucial win.
