Virat Kohli He may be one of the finest cricketers to play the game and is certainly a role model for billions of people around the world. However, his detractors sometimes mistake his aggression on the field for cruelty. Nevertheless, he is one of the most humble personalities off the field, and there are plenty of examples to support this opinion.
Recently, another one of those instances was when Kohli met his former India U19 teammate Taruvar Kohli and his daughter on the sidelines of the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) training session. Taruwar, who was part of the Indian team that won the U19 World Cup under Kohli's captaincy in 2008, posted a video of the conversation on his Instagram handle.
In the video, Taruwar mentioned that the former India captain politely got out of the team bus to catch him and his daughter, who looked like a young fan. Kohli asked the little one, “Papa is Kohli too?” The three also posed for a quick picture.
Taruwar, who was a part of Punjab Kings and Rajasthan Royals during his career, wrote in the caption, “The world knows your records. I know your heart. Stay blessed brother.”
“Fame changes people. It didn't change Virat. Came out of the team bus especially to meet us. Greatness never changed you. Stay blessed always, GOAT,” Taruvar wrote in his video.
RCB trying to make it two from two
RCB has reached the final of the Indian Premier League (IPL) for the second consecutive time. After winning their first title last year, Rajat Patidar and Co. are one step away from becoming two-time champions. They reached the final with a comprehensive 92-run win against Gujarat Titans in Dharamshala on Tuesday, 26 May.
The Bengaluru-based franchise will face either Gujarat Titans or Rajasthan Royals at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Sunday, May 31.
