Urvil revealed how he had to take a difficult decision, which eventually looked at him with a yellow jersey from Don.
Urvil entered the IPL 2025 auction with a base value of INR 30 million, but despite a spectacular run in Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, he broke two centuries, including 28 balls, the fastest T20 tons by an Indian. The first part of the Gujarat Titans (without the appearance of a game) in 2023, the right -handed batsman was again on the shore after the mega auction.
However, Vanash Bedi of Midway, CSK through IPL 2025 was dismissed due to injury, signed by CSK to remain the season. Incidentally, RCB also approached the cricketer as a possible replacement for the injured Devdutt Padikkal.
“When I came to know about it, I was very excited because I remember there were two good news for me on the same day. I got a call from RCB for the first time that Devdutt Padikal must have been injured. Therefore, he was looking for a replacement. So, he called me first if he would ask me to choose me.”

However, an hour later, CSK analyst and Scout Ar Srikanth reached Uril with a more concrete offer.
“After an hour, I received a call from CSK. Srikanth sir called me from scouting and said that they are considering me as a replacement player. So, be ready. So, I was confused. I said, 'Sir, RCB also called me.' He said that he was sure about my joining the team.
Although CSK did not qualify for the playoffs in 2025 and ended under the table, Uril's performance attracted significant attention. He showed in three matches and scored 68 runs at a strike rate of 212.5, winning two of those matches.
In particular, he convinced his father to participate in an IPL game, not only to see his son playing, but also to meet the legendary captain MS Dhoni.
He said, “My parents hesitate to see me playing. I told my father whether you watch the game or not, I want you to meet Mahi Bhai. My father had come to watch the match especially because of him.”
