Royal Challengers Bangalore registered a stunning 43-run win over Chennai Super Kings in the 11th match of the Indian Premier League 2026 at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on Sunday, April 5.
Batting first, RCB produced a batting masterclass and scored a big score 250/3 in 20 overs. Phil Salt gave a bright start by scoring 46 runs in 30 balls, while Virat Kohli added 28 runs. Devdutt Padikkal led the innings with 50 off 29 balls before a late attack. Rajat Patidar and Tim David, Who made a brilliant unbeaten partnership of 99 runs in just 35 balls. Patidar scored an unbeaten 48 runs in 19 balls, while David played a sensational innings of 70 not out in 25 balls to take RCB to a challenging score.
In reply, CSK faltered early on. Despite losing wickets at regular intervals, Sarfaraz Khan counter-attacked to keep their hopes alive, while others made brief contributions.
However, the RCB bowlers kept up the pressure throughout, ensuring that CSK never got close to the target as they were eventually restricted to 207. The emphatic win cemented RCB's strong start to the season, while CSK are at the bottom of the table after losing three consecutive matches.

It was a sensational display of power-hitting from Tim David, who took complete control in the death overs. His unbeaten 70 off just 25 balls was full of clean hitting and smart shot selection as he dismantled the CSK bowling attack. RCB captain Patidar supported him well.
Sarfaraz Khan's lonely fight
Amid yet another batting collapse from CSK, Sarfaraz Khan Standing for CSK with a half-century after scoring 50 runs in 25 balls. His aggressive strokeplay gave some hope to the visitors as he faced the RCB bowlers and tried to keep the required rate under control.
