Statistics Review of player records and milestones achieved


Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) booked their ticket to the final by defeating Gujarat Titans (GT) by 92 runs at the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium in Dharamshala on Tuesday, May 26.

On an excellent batting track, Shubman Gill won the toss and decided to field first. Venkatesh Iyer, Virat Kohli and Devdutt Padikkal batted with great intent and scored 93 runs in nine overs. While Iyer was dismissed by Kagiso Rabada in the second over, Kohli and Padikkal lost their wickets to Jason Holder in the ninth over.

Rajat Patidar Played one of the finest innings in IPL playoff history, scoring an unbeaten 93 off 33 balls. He hit nine sixes and five fours, while Krunal Pandya and Jitesh Sharma gave him full support. RCB finished with a huge score of 254/5.

In reply, the Titans lost their famous top three match inside five overs with only 51 runs on the board. At the score of 51, they lost two more wickets – Holder and Nishant Sindhu. After a few overs, Washington Sundar was out and RCB bowlers came to the field.

After the team's score was reduced to 88/8 in the 12th over, Rahul Tewatia played well from one end. He eventually scored 68 runs from 43 balls before GT were bowled out for 162 runs in 19.3 overs. Jacob Duffy, who was brought back into the squad for this game, was the star performer for RCB as he scalped three wickets.

  • Rajat Patidar now has the joint-fourth fastest fifty (21 balls) in terms of balls faced in IPL Knockout/Playoffs.
  • GT seamer Kulwant Khejroliya gave 28 runs in his second over. This is the second most expensive over in the IPL Knockout/Playoffs, behind Parvinder Awana's 33-run over in IPL 2014.
  • Kohli and Padikkal made their seventh 50-plus partnership this season, which is the joint second highest partnership by a pair in a season after Faf du Plessis and Kohli in 2023.
  • RCB now has the fourth highest power play total (76/1) in IPL Knockout/Playoffs.
  • Kagiso Rabada now has the most wickets (18) in the first six overs in this IPL edition.
  • Bhuvneshwar Kumar has the joint-second most wickets (26) as an RCB bowler in an IPL season.
  • RCB has become the fourth team to reach IPL finals consecutively.
  • RCB has now reached its fifth IPL final. Only CSK (10) and MI (6) have played in more IPL finals.
  • This is the second largest victory margin in terms of runs (92) in the IPL Knockout/Playoffs.
  • Rahul Tewatia and Mohammed Siraj made a partnership of 68 runs on Tuesday. This is the second highest innings for the ninth wicket in IPL.
