Gujarat Titans (GT) Made a record even after defeating the defending champion Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) by four wickets in match 42 2026 Indian Premier League (IPL) at Narendra Modi Stadium Thursday, April 30.
When invited to bat by the hosts, RCB could score only 155 runs before losing all 10 wickets. Devdutt Padikkal top-scored with 40, but he lacked any real support throughout the innings. Arshad Khan was the best bowler for GT, taking three wickets, while Jason Holder and Rashid Khan took two wickets each.
In reply, GT achieved the target in 15.5 overs thanks to their skipper Shubman Gill, who scored 43 runs in 17 balls to give his team a great launchpad to go on and make the chase easy. Other important contributions in the chase included 39 from Jos Buttler and 27 not out at the end from Rahul Tewatia. The win takes GT to 10 points from nine matches and they are now just two points behind the playoff places.
