Batting first, SRH posted a strong score of 194/9 in their 20 overs thanks to explosive innings from Abhishek Sharma and Heinrich Klaasen. Abhishek played a stormy inning of 59 runs in just 22 balls with the help of six fours and four sixes at a strike rate of 268.18. Klaasen then carried the innings forward with a brilliant 59 off 39 balls, which ensured that SRH maintained the momentum despite losing wickets at regular intervals. For CSK, Jamie Overton and Anshul Kamboj took three wickets each to prevent the hosts from running away with the game.
In reply, CSK fought hard but lost at 184/8 in their 20 overs. Ayush Mhatre got off to a flying start, scoring 30 off just 13 balls, while Matthew Short (34 off 30) and Sarfaraz Khan (25 off 19) kept the chase going in the middle overs. However, regular wickets halted their progress.
Hyderabad's bowlers kept their composure at crucial moments, with Ishan Malinga emerging as the standout performer, taking three wickets for just 29 runs in his four-over spell. Nitish Kumar Reddy also picked up two important wickets, including the dismissal of Mhatre, which put immense pressure on the opposition team.
Despite a late push from the lower order, CSK could not get over the line as SRH held on for a hard-fought win.
