Rishabh Pant fined INR 30 lakh for a slow rate against Royal Challengers Bangalore


Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) captain Rishabh Pant INR 30 lakh has been fined for its third slow rate of this season. The incident occurred during the 70th match of IPL 2025 against Royal Challengers Bangalore on Tuesday, where RCB chased a brilliant chase to seal the qualifier 1 berth for the first time since 2016, winning six wickets.

Openers Phil Salt and Virat Kohli left for a flying start, as they reduced the team's score to 61 in just 5.4 overs.

After falling for salt 30, Kohli scored 54 off 30 balls. However, the second half of the day was in favor of RCB's stand-in skipper, Jitesh Sharma, who scored 85 off just 33 balls, his first IPL FIFTI, which included eight fours and six sixes. Holding one end with his calculated aggression, Mayank Agarwal (from 41* 23), Jeetesh played an aggressive role in his unwavering 107-rorn partnership, which won him six wickets with 8 balls.
