The 4th match of IPL 2025 between Delhi Capital (DC) and Lucknow Super Veterans (LSG) in Visakhapatnam turned out to be a nail-biting encounter as DC won a stunning one-verse in a high scoring clash.
By winning the toss, Delhi's capitals bowled first. During the powerplay, Lucknow super legends came out aggressively, targeting DC chief Pacer, Mitchell Starc. LSG ran at 64/1 in six overs, losing Aiden Markram for 15 runs. Michelle Marsh and Nicholas Gorn then reduced DC's bowling attack. On the half -way mark, the LSG stood at a turmoil 117/1.
However, DC returned to the game with two important wickets. 72 of Marsh's breathtaking 36 balls were cut off, and soon after, captain Rishabh Pant caressed six balls with duck. Gorn had the scoreboard ticking just 30 balls with Quickfire 75, but soon fell, leaving LSG at 169/4 in 14.5 overs. In the last five overs, DC bowlers changed the tide, scoring just 39 runs, taking four wickets. The LSG ended at a commanding 209/8, with Mitchell Starc claimed 3 wickets.

Chasing 210, DC made a disastrous start, falling to 7/3 within 1.4 overs. They abolished the powerplay at 58/4, losing the major players to Jake Fraser-Macgark (1), Abishek Porl (0), Sameer Rizvi (4), and Captain Axar Patel (22). FAF Do Plessis tried to stabilize the innings with a fast 29 off 18 balls, but departed at 65/5.
A significant 40+ partnership between Triston Stabs (34) and Ashutosh Sharma revived DC's hopes. Vipraj Nigam's Blistering Cameo proceeded on 15 balls out of 39. Batting his nerves with Ashutosh Sharma (66* 31), as a result, DC won with just one wicket remaining, a remarkable pursuit to chase a notable.
