Royal Challengers Bangalore removed their first Indian Premier League title with a six -run win against Punjab Kings in the 2025 edition at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. It marked a prestigious end for drought of the 17 -season title.
RCB posted 190/9 after being sent to bat first. Virat Kohli scored the top with 43 scored 35 runs. Several short camos were played by Rajat Patidar (16 runs 16 runs), Liam Livingstone (25 runs 15), Jeetesh Sharma (10 runs 10), and Romeo Shepherd (17 runs nine). Arshdeep Singh (3/40 in four overs) and Kyle Jaimisson (3/48 in four overs) shared six wickets between them.
PBKs decreased by six runs. Apart from Shashank Singh, who remained unbeaten on 61 runs for 30 runs, no one clicked for Shreyas Iyer -led side. Iyer departed for one of the two in a major setback for his team, while Josh England (39 out of 23) was rejected after threatening the RCB bowlers for a while. Krunal Pandya hit RCB's most influential bowler, taking some wickets in his four over Kota.

1. Omarjai's athletic brillions ends Kohli's stay
A sliding catch brought in the middle of Kohli's Lagard innings after Azmatullah Omarjai sprayed three pitches. His bouncer on Kohli became very big, hit the top of the bat and moved towards Omarjai.

2. RCB Jitesh, strong finish with cameo from Shepherd
It seemed that the RCB would end with a down-bars score with all its four top-order batsmen in the shed by the 15th over. However, Jitesh and Shepherd ensured that the speed continued with RCB with their sharp knock.

3. Shepherd Lands made Iyer's prized skull
Almost nothing by Shepherd brought about the wicket of Iyer's massive wicket. PBKS skipper, who led to a prestigious victory for a reputed win in qualifier 2, had to leave for a cheap score. Iyer's wicket was a huge shock for Pbks, and his side could never really recover from it.

4. The heroic attempt by Shashank gets untouched
After batting in the 13th over, Shashank had a mountain to climb. The asking rate climbed a significant amount. However, he was placed around him despite the fall of wickets. Shashank became unbeaten on 61 for 30 runs.
Praise for Shashank Singh tweet. He kept fighting till the end but finally no player supported him.
