Head coach Ben Sawyer was disappointed that he would not be able to make that “strong start” against Sri Lanka.
“We are all tickled for Bella,” Sayer said. “She was a strong start for her international cricket career in December, so it’s ashamed that she did not get an opportunity to return the series. But we hope that she would be tracking to return for T20.”
The three -match ODI series will begin on March 4 before going to Napier for the next two matches in Nelson, and followed by three T20s from March 14 to March 18.
“The Lauren brings great experience to the group,” Sayer said. “He has been an important contributor to [Auckland] In this season, the heart and we are happy that he will get an opportunity to take that form in this series. ,
