Afghanistan Rashid Khan India's Bhuvneshwar Kumar has left behind to become the most wicket -taker in T20I Asia Cup History. The milestone came during the Group B match of Afghanistan against Bangladesh at Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi.Rashid performed his bowling Aquuine by taking 2 wickets for 26 runs in his four -over spell. He now leads the tournament -taking chart, with 14 wickets at an average of 18.00 with 14 wickets in 10 matches, with his best performance 3/22.Bhuvneshwar Kumar is now second with 13 wickets in six matches, maintaining the best figures of 9.46 and 5/4 on an average.
Rashid's record against Bangladesh has been particularly impressive, with 24 wickets in 12 matches and an average economy rate is 5.60.In the match against Bangladesh, Afghanistan's bowling unit, which featured Rashid, Noor Ahmed, Mohammad Nabi and Allah Ghazanfar, faced a challenging batting performance from his opponents.Bangladesh's innings started 30 with opener Saif Hasan and 52 with Tanjid Hasan, with a 63 -run partnership. After Saif's dismissal, the speed was shifted, captain Litton Das fought to maintain the scoring rate.Despite a promising position of 87/1 on half the way, Bangladesh's batting performance led to a decline in the latter part of his innings.In the final phase, Thohid Hridoy contributed to 26 runs by 20 balls, while Nurul Hasan scored 12 runs from 6 delivery. These efforts helped Bangladesh reach a total of 154/5.Bangladesh's innings showed two different stages – a strong start after a slow mid -mid and end period, where they struggled to speed up against Afghanistan's bowling attack.
