The Control Board for Cricket in India (BCCI) has left no stone unturned to create a certain 'King Khan' to entertain fans with some superstars and a certain 'King Khan' inauguration ceremony of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025. The Gala ceremony will be held for the first time after 2015 at the Eden Gardens, Kolkata. The stars will set the stage ablass on Saturday, 22 March, which will be just before the initial encounter between defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB).

The opening ceremony begins at 6 pm (IST). Shahrukh Khan is scheduled to give a monologue a few minutes later. Shortly thereafter, the great Shreya Ghoshal will mesmerize the crowd with his unprecedented voice. After Ghoshal's giggm, Bollywood actress Disha Patani will reduce some foot-tapping numbers. Subsequently, Indian rapper and singer Karan Aujla will make his presence felt.

Shahrukh will be seen again as he will interact with cricketers before inviting BCCI officials and celebrities on stage. Cake cuttings, balloon releases, and drone shows are also lined up for the evening before the main attraction, the season opener, running between two popular teams.

Thunderskwall and gusti winds are expected during the match hours. Many districts of West Bengal including Kolkata will experience moderate rainfall.
