KL Rahul shows his inner MS Dhoni, performs fast stumping against Chennai Super Kings

KL RahulHis wicketkeeping abilities are getting better and better with each passing season of the Indian Premier League (IPL), and Delhi Capitals (DC) got the reward for it in their game against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) at the Arun Jaitley Stadium on Tuesday, May 5.

DC and India's wicketkeeper stumped CSK batsman Urvil Patel off the bowling of captain Akshar Patel in the seventh over of the second innings. This was a very important wicket for the Capitals, with Urvil looking dangerous, hitting two consecutive sixes off the returning Lungi Ngidi in the last over.

Akshar bowled a fast ball, which Urvil tried to drive upwards, but missed the ball completely. In the process, Rahul was extremely quick in uprooting the stump. The 34-year-old showed pace behind the wicket and did for CSK by stumping in just 0.24 seconds what their former captain MS Dhoni has been doing for all the other teams in the IPL over the years.

It is noteworthy that since the signing DC Last year, this was Rahul's first stumping for his new team. Before today, the top-order batsman had made seven stumpings in his IPL career.
