LSG vs CSK: What did the captains say?
Rishabh Pant, LSG Captain
we are going to watch[ing] Bowl first. The wicket is looking a bit sticky, so there is no need to go there and bat yourself. We have a lot to achieve as a team. We are a team, we run on trust and that is what we are waiting for. I think Akash is playing much the same way today. I think he's getting his first chance of the season. We're definitely trying some things for next season. And trying to give my 200% regardless of anything. (Does it free you up or does it mean there is more pressure on you because the performances are not what you wanted?) Certainly, there is no running away from the way we have played this season. But at the same time, there are a lot of positives that we can take because, as a team, we are a little bit disappointed because we know that we have it in our team. We can do that and sometimes things don't work out the way you want, but at the same time, there are no complaints from that side. We still have to play good cricket and improve ourselves every day. (How many more changes are there from your side?) We have two more changes. Abdul Samad and Mukul also came inside.
Ruturaj Gaikwad, CSK captain
It's a privilege to wear the yellow jersey. This is a place where you have to bat and bowl well. There is a little moisture in the beginning, but if we start well and reach 170-180, it will be a challenging score. It's tough, you need to keep changing a lot, but that's something we can't control but it also gives opportunities to players, Urvil coming, Mukesh coming, it helps them grow and whenever we have a good team, we perform well. It has become more important to win lately and we want to focus on one game at a time. We have a few changes – Spencer Johnson makes his debut and comes in for Gurjapneet Akil.
