Gujarat Titans (GT) assistant coach Parthiv Patel hopes he will never have to hear or answer questions about what Vaibhav Suryavanshi's Is the actual age. The Titans are scheduled to face Rajasthan Royals (RR) in the crucial Qualifier 2 on Friday, May 29, at the Maharaja Yadvendra Singh International Cricket Stadium in Mullanpur.
Patel described Suryavanshi as an amazing talent and said that he is a pleasure to watch when he bats. However, as a member of the GT contingent, the former India wicketkeeper is hopeful that the 15-year-old will have a calm contest on Friday.
“It is great to see the way he is batting. We should not talk about his age. I think we need to put an end to it. The way he is playing, he is an exceptional talent and it is great to watch him. From the opposition's point of view, we hope he doesn't get any chances tomorrow,” Parthiv said during the pre-match press conference.

Patel categorically mentioned that he would not reveal what plans GT has made to beat Suryavanshi, who announced himself on the IPL scene last year by scoring aggressive centuries against Shubman Gill's team. However, Patel insisted that he had strategies in place to dislodge Suryavanshi.
Patel said, “Sir, I am not a broadcaster and I am not sitting in the pre-show of Star Sports. So, I will not be able to tell you what we have planned. But, I am very happy with the way he is batting.”
He said, “Hopefully, we will try and get him out soon. Like everyone else, we also have our own plans. We have watched the videos like everyone else. Hopefully, we will be able to execute our plans. But, I will not be able to tell what our plans are. You will know it on the ground.”
Interestingly, Sunrisers Hyderabad captain Pat Cummins said that his team has Plan A, B and C ready for Suryavanshi before the eliminator. However, none of them worked as the left-handed batsman scored 97 runs off just 29 balls, and the Royals eventually won the match by 47 runs.
