The great Sachin Tendulkar praised the youth Vaibhav Suryavanshi The 15-year-old played an inning of 97 runs in just 29 balls against Sunrisers Hyderabad on Wednesday, May 27. Thanks to his stormy innings, Rajasthan Royals posted a mammoth score of 243/8 after Pat Cummins won the toss and was invited to bat first.
During his brilliant innings, Suryavanshi scored a half-century in just 16 balls. He hit three sixes and a four in the third over bowled by Pat Cummins and in the next over he hit three more sixes off Saqib Hussain. Suryavanshi reached 97 runs in just 28 balls. He was one boundary away from breaking Chris Gayle's record of fastest century in IPL. The great Caribbean batsman achieved this feat in 30 balls in IPL 2013. However, the Bihar batsman was out at deep third man and was obviously upset.
Sachin Tendulkar praised Suryavanshi's batting on social media. The former India captain also highlighted how the 15-year-old clears his front foot to hit a six down the leg side. Tendulkar ended the innings by calling it “fantastic”.

With the help of his brilliant innings, Suryavanshi reached the top of the Orange Cap leaderboard. Now he has 680 runs in 15 innings at a tremendous strike rate of 242.86.
