Sanjay Bangar said that if Varun Chakraborty The injury he missed in Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR)'s clash against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) could have a direct impact on how captain Ajinkya Rahane utilizes Sunil Narine.
Chakraborty may be out of the upcoming match to be held at Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Stadium in Raipur on Wednesday, May 13 due to aggravation of his leg injury. Bangar believes that if Chakravarthy is unavailable, Rahane will not be able to use Narine in the power play and will have to stop him for the middle overs.

Ambati Rayudu said that KKR should not play Mathisha Pathirana in place of Chakravarthy, as it will force them to make changes in their team combination. Instead, the six-time IPL champion suggested that an Indian pacer could replace Chakravarthy and allow the Knights to stick with the same overseas quartet that played the last two matches.
Rayudu said, “I think they can go with an Indian fast bowler because, if you see the last game in Raipur, the spinners did not take many wickets. So they can really go with only two spinners and go with an extra Indian fast bowler and keep the batting order intact. You need some experience in the batting order. Rovman Powell can do the finishing work with Rinku Singh.”
