IPL 2026: LSG vs CSK, Match 59 Highlights


Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) defeated Chennai Super Kings (CSK) by seven wickets at the BRSABV Ekana Cricket Stadium on Friday, May 15.

On Friday, Rishabh Pant won the toss and decided to bowl first. Akash Maharaj Singh, playing his first match of the season, bowled brilliantly with the new ball and took three wickets. However, Karthik Sharma And Dewald Brewis put together a strong partnership of 70 runs off 44 balls to revive the ship. However, both the batsmen were out in consecutive overs as LSG made a comeback once again.

Shivam Dubey played a brilliant inning of 32* off 16 balls, helping CSK score 187/5 in 20 overs. While Akash took three wickets, Mohammed Shami and Shahbaz Ahmed took one wicket each.

In reply, LSG got off to a dream start thanks to Mitchell Marsh. The right-handed batsman attacked the opposition from the beginning. Meanwhile, Josh Inglis was happy playing second fiddle.

Marsh hit four consecutive sixes in the fifth over, which were bowled by Anshul Kamboj. After making a partnership of 135 runs, Inglis was dismissed by Mukul Chaudhary in the 12th over. On the very next ball, Marsh was unfortunately run out at the non-striker's end.

Abdul Samad could not make much of an impact on his return to the team, but Nicholas Pooran gave himself some time at the start of the innings and finished the game with four consecutive sixes, dismissing Kamboj once again. The home team finished at 188/3 in 16.4 overs.

1)Mitchell Marsh thrashed CSK bowlers

Michelle Marsh He struggled with his form for most of the season. However, he is closing with a flourish. On Friday, he troubled the CSK bowlers with a clinical display of ball striking. The Australian T20 captain made fun of CSK's first innings, hitting nine fours and seven sixes during his innings of 90 runs off 38 balls.


2) Akash Singh impressed in his first opportunity in IPL 2026

Akash Singh wreaked havoc inside the power play, showing no signs of nervousness despite it being his first match in IPL 2026. He bowled aggressive lines and lengths and shook CSK early in the contest by dismissing Sanju Samson, Ruturaj Gaikwad and Urvil Patel.


3)Karthik Sharma played a brilliant innings

Coming in to bat at No. 4, Karthik Sharma had to be cautious with his aggression. CSK lost three wickets early and Karthik formed a much-needed partnership with Dewald Brevis. The wicketkeeper-batsman hit six fours and five sixes during his exemplary innings of 71 runs off 42 balls.
