Kohli RCB gave its best performance by scoring 81 runs in 44 balls while chasing 206 runs against GT despite a brilliant century from Sai Sudarshan. The experienced campaigner was dropped by Washington Sundar off the bowling of Mohammed Siraj on the very first ball of his innings and ensured that the Titans were made to pay for their slip-up. He made a brilliant partnership of 115 runs with Devdutt Padikkal (55 off 27 balls).
Kohli's innings set the stage for the chase, ensuring that the defending champions reached home comfortably despite losing late wickets. He was also given the Player of the Match award for his brilliant innings.
Kohli has been in tremendous form this season, looking fresh and trying to face the bowlers right from the start. He has scored 328 runs at a strike rate of 163.18. He has scored 169.4 in the powerplay this season, which is his highest score in his IPL career.
