For KKR, the spin duo of Sunil Narine (2/26) and Varun Chakravarthy (3/14) took the lead, applying pressure in the middle overs. Kartik Tyagi also impressed with 3/22, ensuring RR were restricted to a lower-than-usual total.

In reply, KKR scored 161/6 in 19.4 overs while chasing the target. Rinku Singh played a brilliant innings by scoring unbeaten 53 runs in 34 balls, while Anukul Roy gave strong support to the host team by scoring 29* runs in 16 balls. The RR bowlers, especially Ravindra Jadeja, were excellent as the veteran cricketer picked up two wickets, conceding only eight runs from three.

The spin duo of Sunil Narine and Varun Chakravarthy once again proved their worth as they demolished the RR batting lineup. The pair took five wickets for just 40 runs in their eight overs. KKR had the worst start while chasing the target.
