Before the bout, Chakraborty reportedly trained separately behind a black sightscreen, away from the public eye and media attention. The former Australian all-rounder highlighted the pain of the spinner and praised his dedication for KKR.
“Well, I'm not exactly sure where he is on his rehabilitation journey at the moment. All I know is that he's obviously going through a bit of pain at the moment, which shows how brave he is, how much he wants to be able to contribute for KKR and he's still bowling brilliantly,” Watson said in the post-match press conference.
Despite the discomfort, Chakravarthy has continued to perform impressively for the Knight Riders, proving to be one of the team's most reliable wicket-taking options in pressure situations.
