Gujarat Titans (GT) strikes ipl 2026 The final after chasing a tough target of 215 against Rajasthan Royals (RR) at Mullanpur on 29 May. Thanks to Vaibhav Suryavanshi's sensational inning of 96 runs in 47 balls, RR scored 214/6 in their 20 overs. Ravindra Jadeja remained unbeaten on 45, while Donovan Ferreira scored 38* to help RR reach a strong total. For GT, Kagiso Rabada took 2 wickets for 35 runs, while Jason Holder took 2 wickets for 27 runs.
In reply, GT displayed brilliant batting and completed the chase with eight balls to spare. Sai Sudarshan scored 58 runs, while captain Shubman Gill led from the front, scoring 104 runs in 53 balls to seal the win.
With this emphatic win, GT sealed their place in the IPL 2026 final, where they will face Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) on May 31 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

Suryavanshi played with fire
Vaibhav Suryavanshi started cautiously but gradually changed gears to put Gujarat Titans under immense pressure. The young batsman played a brilliant inning of 96 runs off just 47 balls, hitting eight fours and seven sixes at an extraordinary strike rate of 204.26. Suryavanshi dominated the GT bowlers with fearless strokeplay and made a crucial partnership of 127 runs with Ravindra Jadeja in just 65 balls. Their aggressive approach took Rajasthan Royals to a massive score of 214/6 in 20 overs.
Sudarshan and Gill amazed everyone with beautiful strokeplay
Chasing a tough target, Gujarat Titans openers Sai Sudarshan and Shubman Gill gave a masterclass in batting. The duo played many brilliant shots around the ground and kept the scoreboard moving at a fast pace right from the start. Sudarshan and Gill made a brilliant opening partnership of 167 runs in just 77 balls and completely dominated and outclassed the Rajasthan Royals bowling attack. His aggressive yet composed approach ensured that GT remained firmly in control of the chase throughout the innings.
Shubman Gill played captaincy innings under pressure
At a time when Gujarat Titans are facing the challenge of winning at any cost, captain Shubman Gill took advantage of the opportunity by playing a sensational innings under pressure. Displaying remarkable composure and authority, Gill chased the target brilliantly while maintaining an aggressive approach. He scored 104 runs in just 53 balls with the help of 15 fours and three sixes and found gaps around the ground with ease. Batting at an impressive strike rate of 196.23, Gill's strong innings played a decisive role in helping GT reach the IPL 2026 final.
