Hardik will be seen leading MI, having missed their last match against Lucknow Super Giants due to back spasms. It seems that he has now recovered from this issue.
Mumbai desperately need to win all their remaining league stage matches of the current season to make the top four before the playoffs. Any miss here or there would mean they are out of the race, and thus, Hardik's arrival is a big boost for the Mumbai-based franchise, who have six points on the board after 10 matches and are currently ninth on the points table.

It is worth noting that there were rumors that Hardik would not be able to play in the upcoming match as he has not recovered from his back injury, which have now been put to rest.

If MI wins the upcoming competition, it will strengthen their chances for qualification, while if they lose to the Bengaluru-based franchise, they will be eliminated from the competition, while RCB will top the points table with 14 points after eleven matches.
