IPL 2026: 3 LSG players were under-utilized this season

Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) entered Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 season with a heavily revamped team, eager to make a deep playoff run after a high-stakes mega auction. Despite boasting an explosive mix of international power-hitters and skilled domestic all-rounders, they suffered a highly inconsistent campaign, and ultimately failed to make the top four. In a season defined by good margins, there were some players who could have been used far more effectively.

Here are three players who have been underutilized by LSG:

3. Arjun Tendulkar

young allrounder Arjun Tendulkar Ahead of IPL 2026, Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) traded with Mumbai Indians (MI). He is primarily a left-arm fast bowler who can bat well lower down the order.

But the use of impact subs meant his services were not required for the struggling LSG unit this season. They could have given him more chances at the end of the season, after he was eliminated from the competition. He played only one match for them, taking one wicket.
