The Mumbai Indians (MI) has created an additional for his squad for the remaining part of IPL 2025 by signing in a replacement player for the injured Vignesh Puthur.
MiThe young left -arm wrist spinner, Puthur, made a strong contribution in the first IPL 2025. He first took three wickets against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and claimed six wickets in five matches in the 9.08 economy in debut. However, Puthur is now excluded from the rest of the season due to bone stress reactions in both calves.
Mi turned to 32-year-old Raghu, who was a leg-break bowler of a right hand of Jalandhar, Punjab. Raghu was already part of the Mi setup as a net bowler and INR has joined the main squad at his base price of 30 lakhs from the RAPP (Replacement and Auction Pool Player) list. This records his first presence in the Indian Premier League.
Lay will be coming from an impressive domestic record. He has played in formats for Punjab and Puducherry and has been a consistent artist, especially in red-ball cricket. In 11 first-class matches, he has taken an average of 57 wickets on an average 19.59, including five-wickets and three ten-diche matches. His best bowling figures in first -class cricket are 7/56.
After taking 14 wickets in nine matches in the 2024-25 Vijay Hazare Trophy, Raghu has also been spectacular in white ball formats. Overall, he has 14 wickets in nine list A matches and several T20 shows three wickets, the best figures of 4/37 and 2/34 respectively.
Meanwhile, after winning five of their last five matches after a dull start, MI currently ranks third on the points table with 12 points out of 10 games. With the five -time champion handing over several debuts in this season, there is a huge possibility that Raghu can make it to play XI in the upcoming games.
