IPL 2025 To resume on 17 May, to be played on 3 June

A recent press release by the Board of Control for Cricket in India has announced that the 2025 edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) will resume on Saturday, 17 May. Apart from the Indian government, it comes after comprehensive consultation with all the major stakeholders associated with the tournament.

A total of 17 matches are to be played at six places starting on the above date. Final of IPL 2025 Tuesday, is to be played on 3 June. The revised schedule includes a couple of double-header, both will be played on different Sundays.

The journey program for the playoffs is as follows:

Qualifier 1: 29 May
Eliminator: 30 May
Qualifier 2: 1 June
Last: 3 June

The exact places for the playoffs will be announced in the near future. Bengaluru, Jaipur, Delhi, Lucknow, Mumbai and Ahmedabad will be the places that will host the remaining league matches. Group-phase fixtures are scheduled to end on Tuesday, 27 May.
