IPL 2025: Anil Kumbal suggests how RCB can overcome the batting crisis in Chinnaswamy

First – Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) captain Anil Kumble analyzed the struggles of the silver party -led side with the bat in his home ground – M Chinnaswamy Stadium – in the ongoing edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). Legendary leg-spinner also suggested ways in which RCB batsmen can overcome their struggles in front of their passionate RCB fans, who pack Chinnaswamy in every game for rafters.

RCB has so far played three games in Chinnaswamy in IPL 2025, and has faced defeat in all three matches. It is important to note that the franchise -based franchise batted for the first time in all three examples. They could manage a score of only 169/8, 163/7, and in the 14-over game, 95/9.

Kumble said that the surfaces at the iconic site are not easy to bat. The highest wicket -taker for India in international cricket suggested that Virat Kohli And Devdutt Padikal should be seen to bat deeply in the innings and should allow power-hitrs like Phil Salat and Silver Patidar to play their natural aggressive games.

RCB's challenge while batting for the first time in Chinnaswamy is that it is difficult to gauge a good score. Usually, nothing below 200 is safe, but this year, the pitch is a little spongy and sticky, which does not help the batsmen. Despite this, this is an advantage for the bowlers. Players such as Phil Salat and Silver Patidar to bat for a long time to allow and play freely.

Suyash Sharma has been particularly impressive: Kumble

Kumble also shared his views on some young spinners who have felt their presence in IPL 2025. He appreciated the choice of Digvesh Singh Rathi and Vignesh Puthur. The former head coach of India had specially praised for RCB's young leg-spinner Suyash Sharma. He praised the young man for improving his stability and maturity to bowl on a challenging surface like Chinnaswamy.

“I am really influenced by young spinners, especially Suyash Sharma, who has improved his continuity. Despite his action, he has been spectacular for RCB, bowling at one speed, who does not give much time to the batsmen. He is developing well, which is being developed well with a top-spinner and leg brake in his name. Vignesh Puthur, impressive.

RCB is set to face Rajasthan Royals in Chinnaswamy on Thursday, 24 April. The Patidar and the company will see two points bags from a unholy Royals, who have lost in their final four matches in this struggle.
