Former Chennai Super Kings (CSK) batsman Subramaniam Badrinath said the Men in Yellow should sign hardik pandya Through a trade with Mumbai Indians (MI) and give Ayush Mhatre and Shivam Dubey in return.
Badrinath also urged the CSK management to give the captaincy to Hardik despite his disappointing leadership at MI. After being appointed captain of MI in 2024, the star all-rounder helped the team reach the playoffs last year. However, in 2024 they finished last and this year they achieved ninth position. However, Badrinath believes that Hardik's inclusion will provide a lot of balance to CSK.
Badrinath said on his YouTube channel, “If I am MI, I will trade Hardik from CSK in exchange for Shivam Dubey and Ayush Mhatre. The core trio of Sanju Samson, Ruturaj Gaikwad and Hardik Pandya will take the CSK brand to a different level. There is no set rule that Samson should be made the captain of CSK. If Hardik demands the captaincy, I would consider him because of his excellent relationship with MS Dhoni. I will make you the captain of CSK.”
He said, “Hardik has at least three great seasons. He will provide incredible balance to CSK to the extent that they can build the team around him. It will also help Hardik if he goes to CSK instead of any other franchise, because CSK can enhance your image to a different level.”

Badrinath said that even if Hardik leaves and joins CSK, MI will still remain a very strong team. The cricketer turned expert suggested that in place of Hardik, one of Tilak Verma, Jasprit Bumrah or Suryakumar Yadav could become the captain of MI.
