Delhi capitals On Sunday, Arun went down to fight against Mumbai Indians in his first match of the season in Jaitley Stadium as he was reduced by 12 runs.
After being asked to bat first, Mumbai Indians posted at 205/5 in 20 overs. In response, Karun Nair's strong knock of 89 runs out of 40 was wasted as Delhi's capitals missed out on chasing the target.
During the post -match press conference, his first match of the season, Karun Nair said, “This is a learning for all of us. I am disappointed that we cannot win the match. We lost wickets at regular intervals, so finally it was difficult for us because we needed a set batter till the end. But again, we could learn well for the next match.”
Talking about his approach in the game, the right -handed batsman said, “We lost an important player in FAF (du Plessis). We always knew that there are some of us who are sitting outside any time and will be ready at any time. Mentally, I was ready and I was really happy that I am really happy and I am on the occasion.”

He said, “I felt that I am well prepared to play in the IPL. If this opportunity is given. It was all about me that the way I am through the season and waiting for my opportunity. I was doing my work to get ready and ready for my game.”
