India's head coach Gautam Gambhir He is trending on social media due to a heart-touching act during the ongoing one-off Test against Afghanistan in Mullanpur. While Gambhir often makes headlines for his ideas and intensity on the field, this time he earned praise from fans for a thoughtful move off the field.

India has completely taken control of the match on the field. Captain Shubman Gill won the toss and chose to bat first, and the hosts made the most of the favorable batting conditions by posting a mammoth score of 564/8 in the first innings declared after batting for almost two days.
Many Indian batsmen made important contributions. KL Rahul scored a composed century, while SAI Sudarshan showed his excellent form by scoring 81 runs. Gill led from the front with a brilliant 126, and Rishabh Pant added an entertaining 81. Washington Sundar remained unbeaten on 52, helping India post a strong total.
For Afghanistan, Mohammad Saleem Safi excelled with the ball, taking six for 140 despite limited support from other bowlers.
In reply, Afghanistan struggled against India's disciplined bowling attack and were all out for 152 in 58.4 overs. Rahmat Shah provided some resistance by scoring 60 runs, but the visitors failed to build any significant partnerships.
Left-arm spinner Manav Suthar performed brilliantly for India with excellent figures of 6/33, while fast bowler Prasidh Krishna provided excellent support by taking 3/27. Taking a big lead in the first innings, India enforced the follow-on and came close to winning on the third day.
After the conclusion of the Test match, India and Afghanistan will face each other in a three-match ODI series. The first ODI will be played on June 13 in Dharamshala, the second on June 17 in Lucknow and the last match on June 20 in Chennai.
