19th edition of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 The match between defending champions Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) is going to start on March 28 at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium. Ahead of the tournament, many players will be unavailable during the early stages due to injuries and other commitments.

Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) fast bowler Harshit Rana will not be able to play the entire season after knee surgery. He suffered an injury during the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2026 practice match against South Africa, due to which he was ruled out of the World Cup as well. Mohammed Siraj was named as his replacement.

In IPL 2026, several members of the Australian squad, including Mitchell Starc, Pat Cummins and Josh Hazlewood, are expected to miss the initial stages of the tournament. Meanwhile, players like Nathan Ellis, Sam Curran and Jack Edwards will be unable to play the entire tournament.
