Langeveldt and Matsikenyeri will join SamMons and newly appointed assistant coach Dyon Ebrahim before the five -match T20I series against India, which begins in Harare from July 6. South African Ravish Gobind and Kurtley Diesel will also include strategic performance coaches and strength and conditioning coaches respectively.
The appointments were approved by the MHISHI committee investigation, designed to study the team’s failure to qualify for the recently concluded T20 World Cup in the United States and West Indies.
In his absence, Walter Chavaguta then took over as an head coach in an interim capacity, before Mosticanery stepped up to take care of the team preparations before his visit to Bangladesh in April.
Langvelt’s most recent term with an international side was with Afghanistan until the end of the last year’s ODI World Cup in India. He has also been a part of the coaching set-up of Bangladesh and South Africa.
