Delhi Capitals (DC) return to the Arun Jaitley Stadium to take on table-toppers Punjab Kings (PBKS) in Match 35 of the 2025 Indian Premier League (IPL) on Saturday, April 25. The afternoon game is part of another weekend doubleheader.
DC comes after a 47-run defeat at the hands of Sunrisers Hyderabad. Axar Patel's side have won two of their last five matches this season, with their most recent win coming against Royal Challengers Bangalore, where David Miller scored 16 off the last three balls to win them the game.
There is a strong side of 2020 finalists, who had a bad day at the Hyderabad office last time. The team is well balanced with aggressive opening batsmen as well as excellent finishers and a well-organized bowling unit. However, they need to be more consistent to make the playoff qualification.
Here is DC's strongest predicted XI vs PBKS, Match 35, IPL 2026:
Top order: Pathum Nissanka, KL Rahul (wk), Nitish Rana

DC's top order largely depends on form KL Rahul. The wicketkeeper-batsman is currently his team's second-highest run-scorer this season with 205 at a strike-rate of 166.66. However, Pathum Nissanka lacks consistency and has scored at an average of only 22.66.
Capitals had a small problem with the number three slot, but it seems to have been rectified with Nitish Rana's half-century in the last game against SRH.
