Chennai Super Kings (CSK) play their final group stage game of the 2026 Indian Premier League (IPL) when they travel to the Narendra Modi Stadium to take on Gujarat Titans in Match 66 on Thursday, 21st.
The five-time champions go into the game knowing that not only do they need a spectacular win against the Titans, but they will also need a number of other results to seal a playoff spot.
CSK has not been able to live up to the expectations in recent matches and has lost two consecutive matches. Jamie Overton's absence is being greatly felt, with captain Ruturaj Gaikwad's form also under scrutiny. However, his team has the upper hand to challenge the hosts at the venue where they won the 2023 title.
Here is the strongest predicted XI of CSK vs GT, Match 66, IPL 2026:
Top order: Sanju Samson (wk), Ruturaj Gaikwad (captain), Urvil Patel

Sanju Samson has led the CSK top-order in the 2026 season, scoring 477 runs at a strike-rate of 166.20. In his first campaign, wearing the iconic yellow jersey, the right-hander has two centuries to his name.
Ruturaj GaikwadHowever, he has struggled to find consistent form, averaging less than 30 while scoring just 120.67.
Urvil Patel scored the joint-fastest IPL fifty against LSG, but since then he has had two tremendous scores.
