Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) finished second on the table of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 points by defeating Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in its final game of the round-robin phase on May 27 May. Jeet gave RCB two opportunities to reach the finals.
Virat Kohli As an important knock, his 30-gends 54 established the stage, which helped in the choice of Jitesh Sharma and Mayank Agarwal, as RCB pursued a co-operative 228-rran target at the Ekna Cricket Stadium. Kohli, 36, hit 10 fours during his elegant innings.
Former Indian cricketer Abhinav Mukund feels that RCB's lack of bowling performance and Missfield harassed Kohli in the first innings. Former said that Kohli took out his disappointment at LSG bowlers.
“I mean all this is a reasonable respect for Kohli, but I think he was instigated after the first innings, and this is very bad news for someone, today it just ended as LSG. He came up with all the rasas that came with the first innings, those moshyfields, and lack of bowling.
Mukund said that it was one of Kohli's best half -century in IPL 2025 as he appeared in remarkable control during his knock.
“He was batting beautifully. I think it is one of his best half-century of the season, which I saw, because whatever effort he made, he must have become 80-85 percent (of control) or higher. It is unreliable.” He said.
Kohli has scored 602 runs in 13 innings in IPL 2025, an average of 60.20 at a strike rate of 147.92. The former India captain has so far recorded eight half -centuries. After his half-century, Jitesh Sharma's unbeaten 33-ball 85 took RCB in line. This was RCB's highest successful run-chase in IPL history as he reached a huge target with six wickets and eight balls.
