Bangladesh to host Zimbabwe for two tests in April

Bangladesh will host Zimbabwe for two tests starting from April 20. The match was to be held initially in April 2024, but at that time, BCB asked ZC to play one instead Five-Match T20I series,

Zimbabwe will land in Bangladesh on 15 April, with the first test to be held at Silhet International Cricket Stadium. Meanwhile, Bangladesh has only been successful tested abroad. Before sharing the series 1–1 in the West Indies, he won 2–0 in Pakistan. Bangladesh did not win a house test since November 2023, when they defeated New Zealand in Silhat. He lost 2–0 to both Sri Lanka and South Africa at home in 2024.

The last time Bangladesh hosted a test against Zimbabwe when he was in February 2020, when he defeated visitors by an innings and 106 runs. The last time when the two teams played each other in a test, in July 2021, Bangladesh won by winning 220 runs in Harare in Bangladesh.

Overall, Bangladesh is a hold a 8-7 edge Zimbabwe in 18 tests between the sides. Zimbabwe's last Test victory against Bangladesh came in 2018.
