Zimbabwe will land in Bangladesh on 15 April, with the first test to be held at Silhet International Cricket Stadium. The teams go to the chatogram to play the second Test at Zahur Ahmed Chaudhary Stadium from 28 April. The series will not be part of the World Test Championship (WTC); Zimbabwe is not WTC participant.
Meanwhile, Bangladesh has only been successful tested abroad. Before sharing the series 1–1 in the West Indies, he won 2–0 in Pakistan. Bangladesh did not win a house test since November 2023, when they defeated New Zealand in Silhat. He lost 2–0 to both Sri Lanka and South Africa at home in 2024.
The last time Bangladesh hosted a test against Zimbabwe when he was in February 2020, when he defeated visitors by an innings and 106 runs. The last time when the two teams played each other in a test, in July 2021, Bangladesh won by winning 220 runs in Harare in Bangladesh.
